Climate
Langkawi has one of the more steady climates for an island in Malaysia. Situated on the north-western coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the Malaccan Straits, it is protected from major winds and storms by the mainland on one side and Sumatra on the other. This makes Langkawi perfect to be visited all-year-round. Sure, there is occasional rainfall and cloudy skies, but it’s never severe or longlasting enough to affect your holiday.

Temperatures are fairly consistent during the day, ranging between 30°C to 35°C while at night, between 28°C - 29°C. Langkawi usually has the most rainfall between September till October, because of monsoon winds. However, the rains do not adversely affect the weather, making Langkawi and the sea around it relatively calm compared to destinations on the east coast.
You can enjoy visiting Langkawi anytime of the year. During the day, expect sunshine lasting until the afternoon and overcast skies toward the evenings.
